Murray Freser

BIOGRAPHY

Murray Fraser is Professor of Architecture and Global Culture at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, UK. In 2008 his book on Architecture and the ‘Special Relationship’ won the RIBA President’s Research Award and the CICA’s Bruno Zevi Book Prize. Other books include Design Research in Architecture (2013), now a standard work, and he co-edits the UCL Press book series of that title; he also edited the 21st Edition of Sir Banister Fletcher’s Global History of Architecture (2020). In 2018 he received the RIBA’s Annie Spink Award for Excellence in Architectural Education. He is editor-in-chief for the ARENA Journal of Architectural Research (AJAR), and Chair of the Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain.
