Charles Palouzie

BIOGRAPHY

French filmmaker

In 1968, he chose Brussels to create one of the first Belgian companies for the production of advertising films.  His eclecticism allowed him to make many films and his responsibilities as an initiator on a technical and artistic level (he introduced the computer-generated image in Belgium) gave him a reputation as a pioneer in his field.

In 1993, the upheaval of the media and new technologies invited him to reflect on a new concept. He then created Exclusivement Audiovisuel ( EX.A sa – Consulting and development of cultural, artistic and audiovisual projects).

To offer a vision of our world or to reconstruct life, filmmakers must observe society. Moreover, they tend to bring together particular talents, different techniques or different forms of artistic expression, thus revealing themselves as true sources of ideas. It is in this context that in 2008, commissioned by Wallonie Bruxelles International to make a documentary on Ciudad abierta, in Chile, Charles Palouzie will use his new orientation and follow his intuition: to present a project of inter-university relationship. The partnership between the faculties of architecture of the Catholic University of Valparaiso and the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve is born.
