Yeoryia Manolopoulou

BIOGRAPHY

Yeoryia Manolopoulou is Professor of Architecture and Experimental Practice at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, and founding partner of AY Architects. Her practice’s projects have been recognised with multiple awards and in 2014 she was nominated AJ Emerging Woman Architect of the Year. Manolopoulou co-created the Irish Pavilion Losing Myself for the 2016 Venice Biennale, a notable research project concerning dementia, architecture and drawing. She has lectured, exhibited and published widely. She is editor-in-chief of the Bartlett Design Research Folios, author of the book Architectures of Chance (Routledge, 2013) and of shorter writings, including the recently published chapter ‘Open Score Architecture’ (UCL Press, 2020).
